You might remember an update we posted in 2016 about our involvement in the new Vail Golf and Nordic Center Clubhouse. Well, we’ve got some exciting news… the Golf Club and Nordic Center officially opened earlier this month!
Todd Morrison – owner here at PCW – shared that the initial golf course was built in 1969, so this was a big upgrade for the community.
The first of many events to be hosted here took place earlier this month to celebrate the grand opening. The new clubhouse features approximately 22,000 square feet and includes a brand new multi-use community area, so there’s now plenty of room to host events.
Together with the Town of Vail and Evan’s Chaffee Construction Group, Precision Construction West (PCW) worked to complete the structural framing, exterior trim and siding on the project.
Todd said, “It’s such a pleasure to work with the Town of Vail on any type of project that will ultimately give back to our community and those to visit Vail. Everyone here at PCW loves the feeling of knowing we’ve contributed to a place that will be enjoyed by people all year long!”
If you haven’t had the chance to visit the Vail Nordic Center, you should! They are open daily from 9am-5pm. The entire track is groomed and the conditions are awesome.
Here’s an overview of the trails:
- Green ski trails Over 3.5 kilometers
- Blue ski trails: Nearly 10 kilometers
- Black ski trails: Nearly 5 kilometers
- Snowshoe trails: 10 kilometers – Open to walkers, snowshoers, ice climbers and dogs on leash.
We hope that everyone enjoys this new addition to Vail!
