Besides the obvious stunning and natural beauty our community offers, one of the coolest things about Eagle County is home architecture. Unlike a lot of other places that are flooded with cookie-cutter houses, we have some pretty amazing custom homes.
While we’ve had the opportunity to help construct many custom homes, there’s a lot that goes into projects like this prior to the build. One of these crucial things is architecture. Meet Maggie Fitzgerald – founder and lead architect at Maggie T. Fitzgerald Architect.
Maggie T. Fitzgerald Architect was founded in 2011 and was built around Maggie’s passion for creating spaces that make a notable visual mark on the communities in which they reside. “One of the best things about working with clients in Eagle County is the exquisite surroundings we have as inspiration when we’re designing. From views to angles to general landscape, we use these elements to create designs that not only will result in a beautiful home, but also enhance the natural aesthetics of the area,” explained Maggie.
Maggie brings a wealth of experience – nearly two decades – and a genuine passion to each and every project she works on. When we asked Maggie what her favorite thing about being an architect was she said, “The best part of this job is knowing we are creating someone’s dream home – a place where they’ll raise children, celebrate special occasions and create memories for years to come.”
The firm isn’t a one-dimensional company either. While based in Eagle, CO, they also work with clients throughout Colorado and New York with projects that scale from custom residential houses to multi-purpose commercial spaces.
At PCW, we’ve had the opportunity to work with Maggie on several projects, including the recently completed Horse Barn + Garage.
“Besides working with awesome clients, we also have the chance to work with equally amazing companies on projects. Maggie t. Fitzgerald Architect is definitely one of those companies, said Todd.
He went on the say that while PCW does the build, they couldn’t do their job without talented people like Maggie. “Building around a perfectly executed custom home design is a dream. Maggie is a rarity. She takes into account the site and environment when she designs, which is very important since it can save a client a lot of money and also works with the natural landscape and not against it.”
We just wanted to thank Maggie! It’s people like you who definitely contribute to the beauty and the place we’re so proud to call home.
