One of the most crucial parts of any project is planning. Without a clear idea of costs and budget, even the most exciting projects can turn do downhill pretty quickly.
That’s where High Country Consulting comes in! It’s our pleasure to introduce you to this wonderful local company and to share with you more about what they do and their work is so important.
Kyle Hoiland started High Country Consulting in 2006 to provide a very important service to our industry — pre-construction services and construction cost estimating and planning.
Over the years, he’s had the opportunity to be involved in construction cost budgeting projects spanning the country (including North – Glacier National Park, South – South Padre Island, East – Statue of Liberty and West – Joshua Tree) for contractors, developers and county, city, state and the federal government.
Kyle got started in the industry after discovering his passion for helping others and construction, and he’s been successfully helping clients ever since.
One of Kyle’s main responsibilities is to identify what tasks need to be done for a project and then assign the man hours to each task to be able to provide a final number for a project. Obviously, an extremely important responsibility for a project to be executed efficiently and successfully!
Kyle is an immense resource to his clients, as he saves them time while they are busy in the field doing what they do best. For the government projects, often these organizations do not have people who have this area of expertise so they turn to Kyle given his extensive experience and level of skill in this arena.
Not only is Kyle fantastic at the work he does, he also is extremely passionate about it. He’s lived in Vail Valley for over 20 years and loves living here mostly because of the people. “The people in our Valley are all very tolerant and accepting of each other despite differences in lifestyle, differences in beliefs,” said Kyle.
When he’s not occupied helping businesses build a solid foundation for their projects, he enjoys spending time with his kids, hunting and fishing.
From the entire PCW team, we wanted to thank Kyle and the work he does at High Country Consulting. He is an immense asset to our industry and we love that he’s based right here in Eagle County. Thank you, Kyle, for the knowledge and dedication you offer to our industry. It’s people like you who make projects a success!
