There’s a buzz about town in Vail right now as work continues on the Vail Golf Club and Nordic Center. Together with the Town of Vail and Evan’s Chaffee Construction Group, Precision Construction West (PCW) has been working hard to ensure the project meets its summer deadline.
So, what can people expect from this large remodel project?
A new and improved experience all around! The former clubhouse structure was completely demolished to make way for a brand new one that will be filled with modern amenities and conveniences. The new clubhouse will span approximately 22,000 square feet and will include a brand new multi-use community area.
When asked about the remodel, Vail Mayor Andy Daly said, “…The clubhouse remodel is in the best interest of the community.” The Vail Golf Club and Nordic Center is home to an 18-hole golf course, driving range, practice area, and pro shops for both golf and Nordic operations.
At present, the golf course is scheduled to reopen in mid-May, weather and course permitting. Golfers will continue to use the temporary structure as the clubhouse until the remodel is complete this summer. Currently, there is a temporary clubhouse in place until the project is completed, along with a smaller driving range area that is open in the interim.
Precision Construction West (PCW) has been tasked with the structural framing, exterior trim and siding on the project, and continues to work diligently to meet the impending deadline. Adds Todd Morrison, owner of Precision Construction West; “It is always a pleasure to work with the Town of Vail on projects that contribute to the betterment of the community. The new Vail Golf Club and Nordic Center will be a huge draw for year-round residents and tourists alike.”
