For more than 60 years, the Pioneer Medical Center has been a keystone in the local community, and Meeker residents continue to sing the praises of its beautiful remodel. The exterior of the 46-bed hospital and surgical facility was updated last summer and Precision Construction West (PCW) partnered closely with Denver’s Haselden Construction to complete 100,000-square-foot project.
Todd Morrison, owner of Precision Construction West, says this was the company’s first time working on a large commercial project with Haselden Construction, but they are hopeful to continue their working relationship moving forward. He adds, “Working on the Pioneer Medical Center remodel with Haselden was a fantastic experience. Our employees worked seamlessly together to meet and exceed the client’s expectations, and the project turned out better than any of us could have imagined.”
PCW was responsible for completing the exterior siding and trim, including the installation of a full JamesHardie exterior. The horizontal Hardieplank lap siding and vertical batten and board siding are engineered to weather climate changes and are much more durable than similar products. According to the sales representative for JamesHardie, this was the best installation of their product that he has seen to-date.
This project was also PCW’s first time working with the Knight Wall Girt System, but Morrison says it was a great way for their company to diversify their construction expertise. David Leyva, Site Supervisor for PCW, managed materials and the relationship with Haselden. The project was completed in July 2015.
